China’s agricultural wholesale markets saw modest price adjustments on June 10, with the key produce indices showing minimal movement. The national wholesale price index dipped slightly to 113.09 (-0.02 points), while the vegetable basket index declined marginally to 113.15 (-0.04 points), reflecting stable overall market conditions.
Meat prices displayed mixed trends, with pork dropping 0.8% to 20.3 yuan/kg and beef falling 2.0% to 62.99 yuan/kg, while mutton edged up 0.2%. Vegetable and fruit categories showed modest declines overall, though significant variations appeared among individual products – white radish surged 4.2% while cabbage dropped 5.3%.
The market exhibited clear sector divergences, with silver carp prices jumping 2.5% against hairtail’s 2.6% decline. These fluctuations represent normal seasonal adjustments rather than substantial market shifts, maintaining China’s stable agricultural supply chain amid summer production transitions.
