British fintech firm Revolut will invest €1 billion in France over the next three years. The company plans to open a new office in Paris. Revolut expects to hire at least 200 new employees in France.
Application for French Banking License
Revolut said it will soon apply for a French banking license. The move follows its successful UK banking license grant in 2024, after a three-year review.
Current Operations and Future Hubs
Revolut already employs about 300 staff in France. Lithuania will remain a key base for its wider European development, the company added.
Macron’s “Choose France” Summit
The announcement was made at President Emmanuel Macron’s “Choose France” investment summit at the Palace of Versailles. Macron said the summit would secure over €20 billion in new investments for France.
